Six things about you (answers)

Seeing as I got a rather larger (and much faster—all in one day nearly!) response to Something about you than I expected, I’ve decided to put the answers in a separate post. If I haven’t mentioned you yet put a comment here or in the previous post and I’ll update the entry.

Here goes… (in order of asking, more or less). Hope it’s of interest, seeing as it took me about two hours to think of all the answers:

The questions (repeated for reference)

  1. Reply and I’ll write something about you.
  2. I will then tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
  3. I will say something that only makes sense to you and me.
  4. I will tell you my first memory of you.
  5. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
  6. I’ll then tell you something that I’ve always wondered about you.

  4. Thinking “will that guy at the back of the lecture theatre ever stop asking questions?” 😛
  5. Something big yet docile… emperor penguin maybe
  6. Why you always sat at the back last year – normally the people who ask questions sit at the front 😉

Dan

  1. Fellow geek who knows far more about most techy stuff than I do
  2. Hmm, difficult one this, probably Summer of ‘69 – Bryan Adams, because I think that’s the one you requested for my “30th birthday” 🙂
  3. Can’t think of anything off the top of my head, anything I could say is probably known to Haslam or Pete
  4. Someone pointing you out to me after you’d posted that spoof of me on the IT forums, first proper memory is probably drinking in the Peel or those “Valentime’s Messages” I got in the second year 😉

  6. Why I never bumped into you at high school

Lizzy

  1. Intelligent (well, for an arts student anyway :P), cute and funny

  3. Natalie’s Law (and Paul’s alternative 🙂 or so many cards that you can’t open the letterbox
  4. I can’t remember exactly when, but it was probably you and Lizzy plotting something at Warped and making me paranoid, or possibly you making Gareth a cat outfit whilst watching Bladerunner

  1. Ah, I miss Mr S, great days 🙂

Although eep, GRC open source projects [embarassed smiley here]

  2. Spam,spam spam… [sorry]

Hold on, do you realise that everyone apart from Kirk has had some sort of variation of a cat as an animal?

  3. Hold on, do you realise that everyone apart from Kirk has had some sort of variation of a cat as an animal?

Yes. Cats (and the cat family) remind me of lots of people, just for different reasons.

You have this thing about me asking questions, don’t you?

Yes, because that’s all I can remember you doing for the best part of three semesters! 😛

  4. Cheers for the kind words!

“What’s it like to live in Scouseland?”

I love it here. I feel at home. What more could you want from it?

  5. Well, being a small 4 legged animal that lives in a hutch, probably not a lot. Then again i might just try and set up my own site with sound demos on etc to try and get a job in the games industry like I’d always planned. Either sounds quite good to be honest.

  6. “What do you actually do at LARP?”

Depends on the system and person. For me: At large fest systems like Maelstrom it’s a lot of sitting around chatting and drinking and wandering round.

Smaller systems are more personal, and I find have more in character interaction. I crew Riftworld which involves a fair amount of fighting as random gribbly monsters and the odd plot-related role and occassionaly crew Waypoint, which is lower combat system and involves more roles interacting with the players.

The other one I’ve done recently is Artificer which I played. It’s low combat and I bumbled around as a poet having no backbone, writing poetry for the aristocrats and generally being unimportant and interacting with nearly everyone under the sun.
